INTRODUCTION

Through this tour I would like to give you a broader, more elaborate idea of my practice and my thoughts as an artist. Whilst reflecting about myself and my work, I often come across themes such as liberation, reminiscence, and self-consciousness. All of this leads to questions about self-admiration; how ‘far’ should I love myself/my work until you as a viewer perceive it as arrogance?

How can I find this balance? Besides, I wonder and think about how important I am within my work. Is it based on me? Is it about me; or do I want to touch a broader context linked with but outside of my own experience? Self-worth as a personal study and a practical approach.

I hope you can hear my voice through the writing and I hope you can understand me or my work better after this tour. I am constantly learning and growing, so I think this tour is going to change at the same speed as I am.
